Gas safety equipment and solutions for the shipping and shipbuilding industries

Maritime transport plays a vital role in global trade and transportation. As the primary tool of maritime transport, the safety of vessels is directly related to the safety of crew members' lives and the protection of the marine environment. Gas detectors, as a key safety device, are particularly important in the shipping industry. During the shipbuilding process, there are two major gas risks: hot work and confined spaces. During welding and cutting, harmful gases such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide may be produced, posing a threat to workers' health. In confined space operations on ships, such as cargo holds, double bottoms, and fuel tanks, poor ventilation may lead to reduced oxygen concentration or the accumulation of toxic gases such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide. In addition, during painting, the volatilization of paints and solvents may produce VOCs such as benzene and toluene, and long-term exposure may damage workers' respiratory and nervous systems.
